Conservation & Restoration

• Books are brought to us in different states of repair but almost every book can be repaired.
• Every book is different and may require a different approach.
• We will examine the book & give an initial assessment and decide on the best method of repair & treatment.
• We always try & retain as much of the original as possible unless instructed otherwise.
• If requested, all stages can be documented either written or photographically.

Surveys

Surveys of collections can be made to identify & prioritise preservation/conservation needs

(Sometimes needed when applying for funding).
